Cardinals Junior player Deakin Filko has been selected selected by Baseball Australia to represent Australia in a National U16 Championship, Atlanta Georgia on the trip of a lifetime! 

Deakin is one of 44 (two teams of 22) to take on the best American Talent in this age group and his selection was based on this year's Australian Youth Championships (AYC) held in Blacktown NSW earlier this year where he represented South Australia. The competition will be tough as Deakin's team are up against Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft and College prospects. This tournament is an opportunity for local athletes to showcase their abilities in front of MLB scouts and College selectors and open the doors to our future in baseball.
