About

Kensington Baseball Club has played an integral role in the life of the eastern suburbs community for since 1926.

Baseball

The ‘Cardinals’ have achieved a great deal of on field baseball success throughout our history, and provides fantastic opportunities for youth and adults to play what is one of the largest and fastest growing sports in the world.

The Club fields a number of teams in Baseball SA’s summer baseball competition and Winterball.

Senior teams range from Division 1 through to Division 8 and includes a women’s team. Junior teams are fielded in competitions from PeeWees (u9) right through to Senior League (u17).

Our community based Little Cardinals Baseball is a skill based fun program for 4 to 9 year olds is held on Friday evenings at our Club grounds during the summer months and followed by a BBQ and social evening.  A great end to the school week!

With players ranging in age from eight to veterans, the Cardinals place a strong emphasis on our role in the community for the development and well-being of a large number of youth and adults.

Football

In 2019 we developed a Club Strategic Plan with a ambitious goals and targets to increase participation in the Club, utilisation of the club facilities at Newland Park and overall Club improvement.  This resulted in the introduction of the Kensington Cardinals Junior Football Club

The Kensington Cardinals Junior Football Club has fielded an Under 8 football team in the SANFL Juniors competition since it was established and is now looking to grow the numbers of teams registered.  Players (girls and boys) are invited to register to under 7, 8, 9 and 10 competitions - we also offer Auskick.

Sponsorship

We welcome sponsorship and support from a number of local businesses, all of which are supported in turn by our community. Please click here to learn more about sponsoring the Cardinals and joining our family.

Facilities

Our clubrooms include a canteen and bar facilities and offer a welcoming environment for our players, members and families which are the foundation of our Club.
